Abstract

Prasetya, F.V ( 2024). Improving Elementary School Students Vocabulary by Using Picture Short Storybooks (Unpublished Undergraduate Final Project). Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The purpose of this final project is a children's picture short storybook for grade 5 students at Kalam Kudus Christian Elementary School which can be used to help in learning English, especially in increasing new vocabulary. This book can also be a guide for teachers in teaching vocabulary and teaching English. The storybooks consist of 5 storybook titles. The first title is Alice’s Dream, the second title is Believe in Miracle, the third title is Stepping Together: Friendship & Dream, the fourth title is From Dream to Reality, and the last title is Failure is the Beginning of All Succes. There are 5 storybooks, and each book has a vocabulary list that can help students learn vocabulary, so they can easily understand English storybooks.
