Abstract

In conducting an academic activity, it requires a system of which is capable to accommodate the necessity of data processing. e. g. apprentice data. Mean while, the implementation of new technology in an application has been particular attraction to the information seekers. Data searching program of apprentice is built by collaboration of Flash, PHP, and MySQL. Flash has faster access and can be seen as smooth in resolution scale of either in big or small screen, and also has capability to import video, picture, sounds, and application. Flash also has capability to present the beautiful and interactive visual interface, thus it has potential to give more attractive learning experience. Flash movie has role as interface to input data and present output of data. Action script in flash communicates with script PHP to input data into database of MySQL and present the output of data of flash movie. Technique of data searching of apprentice uses String Boyer–Moore algorithm of searching. By the existence of function of bad character shift and suffix shift of match heuristic, return the information required by user. It is caused by the existence of good suffix shift to complete bad character shift while based on heuristic occurrence table is null value and negative. The built system is focused on technique of data searching, thus in future this system can be developed as data saving or report of apprentice in more complete in order to give more information and secure the collection of apprentice data from the damage possibility of CD/DVD.
