Abstract
The background site selection was on the road parangtritis km 9,5 main road ,leading to tourist attractiveness, this site has an advantages of being the main belt to reach beach parangtritis and in 2014 this area transformed to become an economic sector with various changes which could be form for business and residential areas. ART MARKET of its name is a placeholder for the sale and purchase oriented for art (traditional / modern ), the name originated from the art- center, which is taken from the Urban state. And The Urban Plaza has the meaning of a public space in the designation of an area which is the urban mixing with the shopping center in the development of the era , such as a mall or market . Urban plaza design approach to redesigning the Gabusan art market intended to increase the function of public space that can be accessed from all aspects of society. with this approached Gabusan art market is expected to attract/encourage for many visitors to come , as well as provide a new function as an activity generator in the market area
