Abstract

Initial Idea to Design Four-Star City Hotel in Yogyakarta - Yogyakarta is currently need of a good accommodation services, so as to meet the surge of tourists is increasing every year to stay in stars grade hotels, especially in the downtown of Yogyakarta, the hotel is ideally situation with consideration of the tourist attractions and shopping centers. And maximize the urban areas that are currently used minimum to be a city hoteld. Transformation Design - The transformation process from the initial idea through some changes, because thinking about site conditions and environmental factors. Designing with providing support facilities needs productive enthusiast who just stop by and tourists who are just looking for entertainment, such as a coffee shop facilities, restaurant, sky dining, spa, sports center, meeting room, ballroom and retail, etc. priority in the final stages of interior design characterized Yogyakarta city, both in furniture and paintings. Final Design - The end result of the process of transformation, presents hotels have facilities to support the needs of guests and tourists who want to stay in the downtown of Yogyakarta. The hotel's location is easily accessible variety of public transportation, and the location of the hotel is near from some of the tourist attractions in the city center. Conclusion - starting from the idea of providing hotel in the downtown, making the ideas and design of the hotel is not easy because a lot of things to consider. The idea was first adapted to the cultural environment of Yogyakarta and trying to keep it looking site in the downtown of Yogyakarta.
