Abstract

Designing sport arena in Jepara background of many public interest in the sport, while sports facilities in Jepara is very low. Sports besides badminton, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, sepak takraw, pencak silat, there are also extreme sports that attracted many residents who dragbike Jepara especially the youth. Dragbike racing sport bike last 4 years has been held in Jepara with participants who always increasing every year. Dragbike race in Jepara implemented with non-permanent circuit with blocking highways. From problems background in Jepara, can be assumed that the district need a lot of sport facilities is a sport arena type B one of the supporting facilities such as dragbike circuit. The construction reflect local cultural values as a reference design. “Macan Kurung” is a art from Jepara, carved statue a tiger that isn the cage where the sculpture should not be any connection. Besides the ”Macan Kurung” building sport also apply form Jepara carving motifs.
