Abstract

SANGAR ANAK ALAM ( SALAM ) Salam is the school children who are not bound by any funding agencies including the government, because is SALAM develop organic products are healthy and environmentally friendly and can be consumed by the public as a fundraising effort of schools and surrounding communities. School basis “ Food, Health, Environment, Social and Cultural Rights” was formed since 2000 beginning with the founding of playgroup / nursery and then grow with the establishment of kindergarten and has now developed into a primary school. Salam himself had a different curriculum with the school in general, in this school children are required to practice what the teacher taught through public program with the advanced nature is a medium of learning. In the study Salam prioritizing process. Stages starting from the introduction, deepening and implementation. The mission of this school is to bring alternative ideas that provide a space as wide as possible for children to interact, express, explore and discover knowledge by utilizing the potential in the immediate environment as a medium for learning. ISSUES: SALAM current problem are the lack of the container activities for students along with the increase in students and activities developed. Accessibility to reach the school as also not adequate, this can be seen from the utilization of irrigation edge which functioned as a liaison between the car park access, building playgroup, Nursery – childhood and elementary school. This certainly has some risks for children, not infrequently the children fell in the canal irrigation, either because they do not accidentally touched or because the attitudes of children whoa re less careful. One of the classrooms they simply measuring 3 x 2 meters, is the certainly very uncomfortable for the user to see the school classes will grow with the number of students in each class of many as 15 people with the teacher as much as 3 people. So is space for the library, see the future course of the book collection will increasing number of students. PURPOSE: The purpose of the redesign is to optimize SALAM student activities in teaching and learning, other than that the building as a place to learn they also can become their learning infrastructure. From the shape of the building and the materials used, is expected to be a learning medium for students, so children can learn well through the buildings they occupy.
