Abstract

Early ideas for the Performing Art Building in Bantul -”Yogyakarta has so rich in art. Jagja in a part of art history will not be separated from sociey Jogla. As be center or Javanese art and culture, Yogyakarta has a large number of art organitation, this organitation need a container that can accommodate the activities of existing art, that container is performing art center. Performing arts center is an excellent forum for the development of an in the future, where a performing arts center can accommodate arts activities, ranging front watching art, studying art, art practice , and sharing of art. Transformation Design - With the performing arts building, the public will have a place toleam, share, and enjoy the arts. All activities are done in public spaces. By placing the public space in the middle of the area and surrounded by the building, the public space can become the main area and all of the social activity will be done in there. The main concept for the design in to make the public space as a main course of the arts center area. Because this public space con bind the entire performing arts center into one. Final Design- The concept used is to create a more dynamic building racade in order to attract people from outside. All of this makes the concept of building the perfomlng arts hcs its own charm and can be a landmark for the region. All with attention to sane paints such as circulation, building form,and materiaI. Conclusion - With this project, Yogyakarta as a center of Javanese art and culture will have a building that can unify the community with art. Purpose of designing a performing arts theater in Yogyakarta was to create a new public buildings good place for people to learn, share, to match and do all kinds of performance art they like
