Abstract

Sport Center in Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara A multi-court sport building design, with Basketball, Badminton and Futsal as the main sport hall and Gym and Retail space as a supporting function. The Idea of the Sport Center: The need of a new sport facility in Tarakan become the main reason why this project were begin. The idea of a proper sport facility to fulfill the need of people in Tarakan, makes the building design with multiple sport hall inside, as the sport center should be. The main sport hall would be a multi-court Basketball and Futsal court and Badminton court, as the three sport were the most demand sport in Tarakan. With the addition of a gym and retail space as the supporting function to attract more user for this building. Transformation Design: The main idea for the transformation design were the building should looks dynamic and free and can provide an enough space for the sport hall inside. Since the building is located in a office, school and hospital area with a very common square shape building design, the building designed with transparent facade to attract people and a dynamic roof design to makes a different from the other building in the area.
