The purposes of this study are to describe the practice of religious entrepreneurship in the church GKJ with pastors as agent of social transformation, and to give criticism on the idea of critical consciousness-based social transformation. This study has proven that critical consciousness is an in-sufficient base of moving force of social transformation. By employing the concept of religious entrepreneurship, this study explained that to bring about humane-integrative social transformation, religious critical consciousness is very essential need. In explaining the concept of religious entrepreneurship, I used ethical anthropology to studying on GKJ pastors’ ethical struggle not based merely on social experience but also faith expression.
