The main theory used is Social Exchange Theory. This theory has been widely used to examine the impact of social relations at work. The categories of employees used as respondents are those who are married. The respondent is considered suitable with this study because one of the observed variables is work life balance. A married worker needs to manage his time and mind wisely so that he can carry out their role in work and non-work life. The variables used in this study include the balance of work life, organizational commitment, and performance. To measure the research variables used references from previous studies. The primary data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. As for the technical implementation, respondents chose five alternative choices according to their perception. Descriptive statistics are used to analyze the profile of research respondents. To process the profile data of respondents, the SPSS program is used. Meanwhile, to test the research hypothesis PLS-SEM is used and uses the SmartPLS program. Some parameters observed in the measurement model include loading factor, AVE, and composite reliability. For testing the structural model, the activities carried out are hypothesis testing, mediation, and observing the R-square value. The results showed the balance of work life affects the organizational commitment and employee performance. Organizational commitment mediates the effect of work-life balance on employee performance. date: 2020-12-02 publisher: Program Studi Manajemen, Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana place_of_pub: Yogyakarta pages: 55 institution: Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana department: Manajemen referencetext: Abendroth, A.K. and Dulk, L.
