It’s located near the town center and grows and develops with the society. Maumeta Traditional Market is the only market operating in Liquica Regency, as the heart of the community’s economy. During the Indonesian administration, this market was only a small market which provided several basic needs of the local community. But after being separated from the Republic of Indonesia, the market grows rapidly. The increasing number of traders (local traders as well as traders from outside the region) reduces the available space. Issues : The emergence of small buildings inside the market makes the circulation in the market disorganized, façade unclear, building overlap each other and huddled together, removes parking space, etc.. Supporting facilities such as: market administrator’s office, parking facility, and other supporting facilities has been unused for a long time. Moreover, the arrival of traders from outside of the Regency occupies the entire market area, so local traders have difficulty finding a place to trade. Areas such as sidewalks, roadsides and empty lands outside the market are used for trading Goal : Redesigning a Traditional Market with a city-level service scale which can serve Liquica Regency, which consists of Liquica and Bazartete Sub- Districts. This Market Redesigning is expected to solve the issues faced by the traders, whether social issues or architectural issues, so that Maumeta Traditional Market will be a good economic centre for the people of Liquica Regency, Timor Leste. date: 2014-07 date_type: published pages: 35 institution: Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana department: Arsitektur thesis_type: skripsi thesis_name: other citation: 21091392, Fransisco De Oliviera Dos Santos (2014) REDESAIN PASAR TRADISIONAL MAUMETA DI DESA MAUMETA, KECAMATAN BAZARTETE, KABUPATEN LIQUICA, TIMOR LESTE.
