%X Balikpapan city is a destination for people to work, travel and vacation, so it requires a good accommodation facility to support any tourists coming to this city. Many accommodation facilities such as a city hotels but there is no accommodation facilities such as Hotels Resort. It becomes a great opportunity to design a Resort Hotel in the city of Balikpapan, which are located at the edge of the beach. Besides consideration of the location of this Resort Hotel is located close to shopping facilities and airports, in addition to the easy accessibility to reach everywhere. This resort hotel is temporary housing facilities for visitors who are bored with their daily activities therefore designed a resort hotel that can alter the daily activities of visitors and provide an atmosphere that is safe, comfortable, and contextual nature. TRANSFORMATION DESIGN : The concept of this building adopts the form of a traditional house of Lamin, the circulation in a resort hotel adopting on the shape of the fern engraving Kalimantan. From the concept of building form and circulation have been made in the zoning applied. Each building is placed in accordance with the zoning analysis that serves to allow visitors to access to any facility that is in the hotel resort and also allows employees to work and serve each guest who comes.
Resort hotel was designed for visitors who want to experience different activities of our daily activities, so given the different facilities such as entertainment facilities, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, recreational beach facilities, restaurant, sky dining, spa and massage, coffee shop, meeting room, ballroom and four different room types are standard, deluxe, family and suite. The buildings are oriented Cann leads to the beach. At the end of each stage in the design room with a warm interior with color selection, material context with nature and have a concept of a safe, comfortable. 
CONCLUSION :  The resort hotel accommodation facilities serve to support travelers who want a vacation, traveling and resting. The concepts and facilities at the Hotel Resort is designed to meet all the needs of tourists who want to experience different activities with daily activities, and to meet the desire of tourists to entertainment, recreation and nature. The resort hotel in Balikpapan city can support the development of tourist facilities planned in the beach area.
