abstract: Administratively, since June 2008 northern Toraja formed from the division, namely Tanah Toraja. Toraja tourism sector excels at them in the form of cultural attractions and natural attractions. Ceremonies and rituals of community north Toraja funeral rites and ceremonies excitement one of the activities that attract tourists to the northern Toraja. The expansion area of northern Toraja regency led government to develop the sector. Because the expansion of the area so there are some facilities and facilities that are not owned by the Toraja district north and into the development program: Office of the public service, art market, museum, etc. Function And Purpose
The function of the museum : To preserve the relics northern Toraja society , made in the landmark for the region , continues to reflect the philosophy of life of the people Toraja. Museum purposes , namely : the current lack of support facilities as a place to manage and promote the art and culture of Toraja , yet no official container to accommodate the craftsmen , and artists in the northern Toraja work , and in the northern Toraja itself has no museum .
