%X OFM (The Fratrum Minorum Ordo) or often referred to as the Order in the Indonesian language which was established by Hinadina St. Fransiskus from Asisi (1182-1226). Fransiskus is a son of a wealthy merchant. On his youth, fransisikus is eager on degree knight and living dissipate together with her friends. Until one day when Francis prayed in the San Damiano church, the Lord God called out to him, "Rise up my church. " From there faransisikus starts conversion by rebuilding the San Damiano church. To obtain funds to build these church, Fransisikus seek its fund by begging and preaching. Then, there were many people who followed Francises lifestyle for the glory of the God Father. While the Monastery of St. OFM. Bonaventura, Papringan Yogyakarta was established since 1969-present. The monastery is used as a community education place for brothers and seminarians (seminarian). Over the time, the members of the community grewing so the need of the spaces increased. The grow of several new spaces that were not organized showed on
relations between spaces are less effective. Based on these situation, the writer is interested to solve the problem of the relationship between the space by reference the highest hierarchy by the chapel space, where the chapel is as the center of community. To redesigning the monastery, the authors saw that the existing prayer room has a history that needs to be maintained. So its space does not need to be dismantled. By using the concept of Vertical (God) and horizontal (fellow), the author wants to unite God's majesty and humility, reflected on the convent of the order you hinadina Papringan, Yogyakarta. To improve the design according to the way of life and the rules that exist in the monastery, the author combines the concept of vertical-horizontal by the guide of life which are listed in the "Guidelines for education and household budgets OFM " book. Similarly, a short story from the thesis created by the author. Hopefully it can add new knowledge to readers. That is all and thanks.
