abstract: The growth of the number of elderly identical with a developing country, including indonesia. And the special region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is the province that has most number of elderly, into 5 large province with an increasing number of elderly. Therefore, the number of elderly being abandoned very much revolves around 30,000 inhabitants. While nursing home in DIY just have 5 nursing home, with a maximum capacity of 319 elderly. It's very far from the expectations of the welfare of the elderly. Therefore very DIY need to add a nursing home to the number of elderly welfare percentage rise. The elderly are very necessary and noted that early on because everyone will experience it, as well as the nature of his behavior will return with the same age as toddlers. The ability to conduct independent activities is very small. Besides the Catholic Church Marganingsih, Kalasan, Sleman Regency will be developed into an integrated Panti Rini hospital , kindergarden & elementary, junior high school Canisius Kalasan. It becomes a major potential. Where the Church would realize the real service action, and making a nursing home. Conveniently located near the hospital, the Church and the seat of Government as well as other public service makes the location ideal for nursing home.
Transformation Design
The form of nursing home by responding to a site and also combines aspects of religious Catholicism (alpha & omega) to design nursing home as well as the cultural elements of Java (Java script).
Final Design
In this chamber in nursing home organization set based on the ability ( accsesibility ) the elderly and made per-cluster so facilitate for nurses in maintaining the elderly in addition to determine on nursing home landscape.Any building in give distances as an air circulation system and also the circulation of human beings. Landscape in this nursing home as grooves directions sign and then vegetation also work to reduce noise.
Conclusion
Nursing home is needed especially in DIY, because it is to reduce older people have been displaced and with the nursing home then parents aren't lonely. This nursing home designed in accordance with local culture.So, for the future parents will no longer be displaced and will also reduce the number of abandoned old people not only in Indonesia but also in DIY.
