But overtime the field frequently use by students and publics to do recreational sport such as jogging, cycling, taichi, and also non-sport activity such as band concert, festivals, and other activities. Nowadays the building mostly damage because lack of maintenance. The government thinks that this sport building needs a additional function to fund the maintenance of the whole building. A commercial building needed in Tri Lomba Juang complex. Tri Lomba Juang is located near the heart of Semarang. Its in the central business district. A rental office building is a great fit to be build in this complex. By keeping the field as a green open space for the public use and building a mall as a supporting function for the office building and the public open space. Transformation design - The transformation design derived from the site plan of one of the monument in Semarang, Tugu Muda. And the building shape from one of the Semarang’s food called lumpia. The mall is connecting the public open space and the office building. The mall is located in front of the office building in order to attract people and the office building located behind it as a more private space. A plaza is located between the building and the open space next to the building as a transition space from the open to the massive building. Final Design- In the final design stage, the mall and the public open space is the main attraction for the people around the area. So the building facade is transparent more visible in order to attract people. And the office building facade is less transparent so its more private and also in order to prevent the heat from the sun. The concept of making the mall as the soul of the main office building makes this building complex more alive and attractive as one of the icon of this city. Conclusion - The initial purpose of designing a rental office building in Tri Lomba Juang complex is to create a suitable commercial building in the area, and the mall as the supporting function to facilitate the whole area as an public facility, not just to facilitate the office building.
