description: Initial Idea to Design a Youth Center - Tlogoadi Youth Center was built in 2002 by the Government of Yogyakarta used as for support the youth activities. Purpose of this Youth Center is also for giving a representative space for youth of Yogyakarta and for the people in this neighborhood to be an employment in this Youth Center.  But, in the reality of this Youth Center is the opposite of their purpose, and it management is not gone well properly.  Because of lack of facilities within it, only a few people that used this Youth Center for their activities. Transformation Design - The transformation design derived from the initial idea to overcome the problems existing Youth Center. By adding support facilities for youth activities for indoor or outdoor that combine with easy circulation, parking lot and green area. Final Design - For the final design of a Youth Center is to unify some activities in one building. For sport activities in Sport Center in which can be used some sport activities such as basket ball, soccer, badminton and volley ball. The other buildings serve as library and food court that both are designed in modern way with unusual shape so that this Youth Center could be used as the landmark to this area. For the outdoor activities, this Youth center give facilities such as camping ground, skate park, amphitheater, and wall climbing and supported by the park that consist of green area and pedestrian way. Conclusion - The initial purpose designing a Youth Center in Yogyakarta is to create a new public building with a good place for youth to doing sport activities, to learn, to play, to recreation, to gather around and do any kind of activities in open space freely. This project contain a total space programming which offered more public function rather than private. The results of transformation design of Youth Center are that can merge the entire of youth activities in one place.
