abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji Pengaruh profitabilitas terhadap struktur modalperusahaan dengan ukuran perusahaan sebagai variabel kontrol. Sampel perusahaan yang diteliti adalah 87 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama periode 2007-2011. Hasil penelitia nmenunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas secarasignifikan berpengaruh negative terhadap struktur modal perusahaan, Profitabilitas juga tetap berpengaruh negative terhadap struktur modal meskipun dikontol oleh ukuran perusahaan
